This year, in commemoration of the Queen’s 90th birthday, St John the Evangelist are holding a Flower Festival next weekend with a schedule of celebratory events:
Friday 10th June
6pm Flower Festival opens
Saturday 11th June
Festival opens at 10am, with refreshments in the Vicarage garden
Festival Concert at 7pm with the Silk Street Sinfonia
Sunday 12th June
11am Thanksgiving Mass
from 12.30 Community lunch in the grounds of the church and Vicarage
4pm Festival Evensong
If all the energetic stuff in our park seems like a little too much effort this weekend, why not attend the Paddington Festival launch, including Round One of the Paddington Festival Bake-Off!
Join the fun between 11am and 3pm at Maida Hill Market.
See Peppa Pig and enjoy funfair rides. You can also exchange Time Credits for rides!
It’s in St John’s Wood Church Gardens from 11am till 6pm on 11th & 12th June.
WECH are having a bike auction on Saturday, 4th June 2016.
Viewing starts at 12pm with the auction at 1pm. Pick up a bargain but it is cash only!
There’s no excuse to not enjoy our park and keep fit this summer.
We have the Boot Camp at 10am on Tuesdays & Saturdays, Football Academy at 11am on Saturday and from 4th June, Basketball with the LBA from 2pm to 4pm on Saturdays.
Yet another event supported by our Queen’s Park Community Council.

Are you over 50? Celebrate the Queen’s 90th Birthday with Open Age at the Beethoven Centre on 1st June.
Claire and Estee have been working hard to make it lovely afternoon with a quiz, raffle, photo booth and a fancy dress competition! Afternoon tea will be served and a lovely, professional singer will perform songs from the year of the Queen’s birth.
You may remember that the Mozart Estate won a cash reward in recognition of their improved recycling habits. Over the other side of Queen’s Park, Avenue Gardens and Queen’s Park Court have reached their first target now, as well,
Westminster will be talking to people on these estates on Friday afternoon, to find out how they would like to spend their reward.
You can cast your vote in person at the library on Fourth Avenue and also online here.
Don’t forget you can keep on winning as many times as you like. The scheme is running until September 2017! Just keep on recycling.
We’re not gardening this Saturday but the HCGA’s Community Gardener is holding a plant sale in the Rose Garden to mark the launch of the Front Gardens Competition.
