With funding from John Lyon’s Charity Steve from the H&F Play Association wil be holding holiday fun sessions in the park for local young people between the ages of 8 and 13, although under 8 year olds are welcome if accompanied.
The sessions will be on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday afternoon and there will all sorts of activities to do.

Join Ulla, our Community Gardner for a fun, family gardening session on Thursday afternoons in August – from 2pm to 4pm on 11th & 18th August.
The action will take place in the Rose Garden.
Once again, this year’s Summer Festival was blessed with fine weather and a lot of fun for everyone. We met so many wonderful families and residents.
Did you visit us? Did you complete our quiz to win a chocolate bug or did you vote for what you’d like to see in the empty space?
Did you take a stroll through our new Woodland Walk? Did you visit Ulla, our Community Gardener in the Rose Garden?
Or did you just take a look around and relax away from the crowds for a while?
Whatever you did in the Wildlife Area, we hope you enjoyed yourself.

For those of you attending the summer festival on Saturday 6th August, do come along and visit our stand in the Wildlife Area. We will have a quiz for children (small chocolate ladybird prizes for anyone who completes it!). Also we will have details of projects we are planning to carry out in the next year and would welcome your input!
Look at all the other things you can do on the day – not forgetting the special event in St Jude’s Hall for the over 50s, free dog micro-chipping and free bike marking.
The weather looks like it might be kind to us all on Saturday.
We are thrilled to see that our park has been awarded a Green Flag again this year.
It is a constant battle to keep it looking good as positive and negative use of the space run side-by-side but with the help of the QPCC, HCGA, Ulla, the industrious pre-school groups and of course, a little group of volunteers, we’ve made it.

We have Tom Boswell Trees to thank for a delivery of some lovely, fresh wood chip to renew the paths and educational area.
Astrid worked hard to get the area looking good for the festival.
They also gave us more logs for our Woodland Walk stepping stones which Astrid and Ray have been digging in.
Open Age, Queen’s Park Community Council, Beethoven Centre and the two local housing trusts have got together again to make a special event on the day of the Queen’s Park Summer Festival.
The over 50s can enjoy and afternoon of music, dancing, bingo, raffles and of course, wonderful refreshments from 1pm to 5pm in St Judes Hall, right next to the park.

The Queen’s Park Community Council have joined forces with Paddington Development Trust and City of Westminster to bring a wonderful day of music and fun to our little park again this year.
We will be set up in the Wildlife Area to answer your questions. We will have a fun quiz for the young woodland explorers, with chocolate bugs for those who get it right, so do come and see us.
