Report from the St John’s Flower Festival

In celebration of Queen Elizabeth II’s 90th birthday, St John the Evangelist on Kilburn Lane (corner of Harrow Road) are holding a Flower Festival this weekend.  Do try to take a look at some point.

They have a wonderful raffle with a variety of prizes including a picture of the church by the Secret Artist. The flower displays are beautiful and diverse; created by the congregation plus groups and businesses in the local community.

Later on this evening, St John’s Music have organised a concert by the internationally acclaimed Silk Street Sinfonia, who always draw in a good audience.  There are usually refreshments on the lawn afterwards (but don’t quote me!).

Please scroll down to look at some of the exhibits in our gallery.
